Today was a Real Estate Link conference call where we interviewed the Inner Circle's own Colleen Berg! She did awesomely. When you get a chance, you really want to listen to Colleen Berg's call replay. She's an inspiration!

I'm still feeling pretty under the weather. I took a 4-hour nap this afternoon. Once I'm off this medication, I'm back on a healthy diet and exercise program. Not that I was a poster child for exercise, but after three weeks of being sick, I can really feel my body falling apart.

The most exciting part of the last 3 days is talking to Paulie about the barter convention that he's attending. He's managed to barter for over $200,000 worth of goods. We got $100,000 worth of radio advertising for only $7400. The deal is, the promoter gets the first 200 sales (so of credit millionaire books, that's $7400) and after that, it's an affiliate commission for the rest.

Paulie also secured 300 or so 2 night hotel stays (which will really help us with our travel schedule) two tax-preparation franchise licenses with exclusive territories, a website-optimization package, some prints of Vegas casinos, three years of voice over IP service (VOIP), and 60 seperately deeded square feet of Alaska.

In exchange, we gave some 10-year web hosting packages on our server, and some credit millionaire seminar scholarships. The seminar scholarships costs us around $250 to deliver on, with all of the CD duplication and per person costs at the actual event. Considering we exchanged 13 seats to the seminar for $60,000 worth of items, I'll say it was a good job!

My favorite trade of all was this one. 36 tuxedos in exchange for the deed to a piece of property in the war zone with only a broken down garage on the premesis. This property we got thrown into a package deal of properties purchased. We basically HAD to take it :) This is a HUGE win for us. Way to go Paulie!

I'm losing steam. It's Sunday when I'm writing this...when I used to update it every day. It's hard to keep momentum going for so long, especially when I'm not inclined to take a day off.

Tonight we had Alan Bechtold on a conference call for Real Estate Link. He did a fantastic job. He has an interesting program. He's taking on 100 mentees to get started in web publishing as a way of expanding their business. He's been publishing on the web almost since it started-- for 19 years! That's 1986.

I don't think I knew the Internet existed until 1990 or so, and I'd never accessed it until 1993! It's amazing.

Today's sales? Orders of the entire credit millionaire system that I previewed on the call started coming in. The page seems to have a 2% conversion rate. We sold $594, or two packages, and the income is split with our promoter. We also sold 2 books.

I was going to go to the movies with Joey at 2. That is, until I got this message from Paulie. "Please go trademark 'Credit Millionaire' right away. You can read about the rest of this story at the Cracking the Wealth Code blog.

I did make a 4:30 showing of Robots. Very cute movie.

I've just looked at my schedule. In the month of April, I'm going to be gone for 19 days. How do professional speakers get used to being away from their home and families? But as we've learned from our time at the double birthday bash...nothing happens when you stay at home!

Happy holiday for those of you who celebrate.

Today I'm finishing editing the Tom Kish recording. I'm going to send it out as the first installment to the monthly subscription program with Credit Millionaire. I'm not sure yet what I want the second disk in that set to be.

I'm also going to work on the case and disk cover art. It's a nice way to spend a Sunday, especially a holiday Sunday, when business phone calls are pretty much out of the question.

The big thing that happened today is finally getting the check from ESI!

It's pretty exciting. This particular business could really use the funds. Most of the expense from the Inner Circle program has been borne by this business...so this check helps tremendously.

Today we had a real estate link call on 1031 exchanges. It was really good. Although we had a last minute lineup change, it worked out for the best. This person didnt' have a product to promote, so we could focus our sales activities on some products that were ending during that period.

Today I started at 4:30 AM to head to the airport to visit my family and attend the Philladelphia inner circle event. When I arrived I called Heshie to verify what time the event was at her house that evening. She said she had cancelled it. Good thing I called. :)

I did a teleseminar tonight from my sister's house. I'm coaching a friend of mine, Dr. Letitia Wright, on how to monetize her list. I suggested starting a teleseminar series. It was her very first one, and there were 3 people on the call. We made one book sale, which is an awesome conversion ratio :) Watch this lady, she's going to be the next Oprah.

Today we had a number of specials at realestatelink that are closed out. We got a lot of last minute buyers. I'm not sure it would have happened that way if we had confused them with another offer.

Yawn! Traveling to my family is always a challenge. During the weekdays, everyone is at work, even my retired mother--she watches her granddaughter while her parents are at work. This leaves me bored for the weekdays I'm there. Internet is sporadic...so I usually take thsi time to read or listen to audios.

Today I listened to the Multiple Streams of Income audio set. It was quite good.

I left my family today and headed up to Heshie's house. I was following her directions, but had some difficulties. There was such terrible rain during these last few days that the Delaware River had flooded.

The directions weren't applicable suddenly. Because the river had flooded the river side roads were wiped out. The directions couldn't be followed.

This got me thinking a bit about systems. Systems can fail...they aren't foolproof. In this case, the system of directions failed because of an outside factor. There was no backup system in place. Thankfully, I'm from this area, so my personal backup systems were to "figure it out" based on my knowledge of the area.

We recently lost a few hundred emails from our mailing list during a system upgrade. They are gone, because we haven't backed up the data.

What are your systems that need backups?

Today was the first day of the Inner Circle Philadelphia event. MAN, what a great seminar! We have so much raw talent and knowledge in this group.

Despite being at the seminar, I managed to get stuff done. I insisted on getting an internet hookup in the back of the room so I could do an hour or two of work.

I set up the system for the Joe Vitale book launch. He's launching The Attractor Factor tomorrow. The credit millionaire ebook is one of the bonuses for his one day launch. I set up a squeeze page, affiliate link for Joe, autoreponder and exit popup. It took about 2 hours of my time.

I'm listening to Alex Mandossian talk on time management and revenue generating activities. It's nice to hear that he implements a lot of the same strategies I do (not answering phones, writing to do lists on small paper the day before)

I've not heard him give a presentation before that wasn't about the Ask database, or Audiogenerator or Videogenerator...it's really quite wonderful.

This morning I get an email from someone who got my pdf free from Joe's launch just a few hours before. She was captivated with my material. She wants to know about my coaching and mentorship packages.

The lifetime value of this customer is likely a few thousand dollars...all from 2 hours of time..and preparation meeting opportunity.

I had the book written, had my website and shopping cart in place, WENT TO AN EVENT where I met Joe Vitale, gave him my book, offered it as a bonus, and FOLLOWED UP!

By the end of day today I had an extra 500 people on my mailing list. Three people even chose to upgrade from the free book to the hard copy for $9.99!

Whew, I'm operating on my fourth night with little sleep, and I'm starting to have an emotional hair-trigger. My ability to "hold it together" is directly related to how much sleep I manage to get.

The IC Philly event ended with lots of hugs. It was truly a great event. The small size really allowed us to get intimate in our workshops, and we are all closer friends because of it. What an amazing group of individuals.

I returned to my mother's tonight for dinner. While there, I learn that my grandfather's estate has been determined to be around the $450k mark. After taxes and fees, my 4% disbursement amounts to $12,000. There should be a check waiting for me in Chicago.

So there it is, the fortune cookie, "you will inherit a large sum of money" came true. I am a money magnet. I'll give away $1200 of it, blow $1000 of it and live off the balance for three months. This was just the cushion I needed.

Today was the day I blew a little money. Joey and I went clothes shopping. What fun! Being a woman this can sometimes be a challenge for me, but today was a good day. Everything I tried on both fit and looked great.

Paulie reported back from the Big Seminar. He's having a great time, learning a bunch, and making a lot of connections. I'm envious, I really wanted to go to this event, but with all the travel this month, there was just no way. Joey is really good about being patient with me being gone so much, but I don't think he would have tolerated one more trip in April.

Today I worked on setting up an autoreponder series for myself and someone else, on encouraging us in our health strategies. We both have a goal to work out regularly, so I put together a 90 day reminder series. It took a couple of hours to get the messages together.

This is an example of how I've used the strategies I've learned for business to help me in my personal life. I wanted a daily reminder system to encourage me, so I created it.

I often use the "Kiss a Frog" strategy that i learned from Brian Tracy to get things done personally. The Frog strategy is a method to overcome procrastination. The concept is, if you have to kiss a frog, do it the first thing in your morning, because the rest of the day will be good compared to the frog-kissing!

If you have to kiss multiple frogs, picked the biggest and ugliest first.

So every evening I pick my 5 frogs for the next day, the things I've been prcrastinating on. An ideal frog takes under 1/2 hour to complete (otherwise, break the task up into more frogs).

The next day I start my day with revenue generating activity. These are things like: put up a new web page, solicit media interviews, email list. These are usually all things I can do before the start of the typical business day.

When I'm on the high from performing revenue generating stuff, I move to the frogs. I try not to stop until all 5 frogs are then complete.

With this strategy I'm pretty confident I get more done in the first 1/2 of my day then most people get accomplished in a week.

As with all Mondays lately, I started the day by updating the Millionaire Hall of Fame statistics. It didn't take long this time...it was a slow week.

Interestingly, there isn't much movement in the ranks. I expected that being part of a challenge would involve more movement, more jockying for position. Instead, we are all pretty much in the same place on the list as where we started.

Today I scheduled two more teleseminars. One on April 26th and one on May 24th. It's getting to the point that people with lists are starting to call ME to ask if I'll do a teleconference for them. I love that!

I just finished listening to a copy critique that we had from Brian Keith Voiles. Brian is an amazingly sweet and gentle man, that just SLAMMED my copy.

Interestingly, much of the comments about the copy were about things that ESI changed from the Cracking the Wealth Code event. Again I'm in the situation of dueling mentors.

So what do you do when two mentors don't agree. Well, partially I use the gut test. Many of the comments from Brian were totally valid and excellent ideas. In fact, all of them really.

Sometimes I felt like he just didn't "get it" from his comments. This also makes them valuable...maybe not the suggested conclusion, but certainly in that it alerted me to a place where confusion may cause someone to click off the link.

The other thing that he mentioned really rang true to me. He talked about parts of my copy that were gimmicky and not genuine. And he's right-- they are things that my gut has always told me I didn't like...but what do I know about copywriting? At the time I wrote the original credit millionaire copy...not very much.

So my first order of business is to go through the sales letter and cut the bullshit...the stuff I really know is fluff or fancy.

Then I'm left with some points that are in direct conflict with my ESI mentors. Thankfully, there is another method to handle this...testing.

We've been split testing the old credit millionaire sales page with the one for the pre-launch. The results are fascinating. So far no one has purchased the full product from this particular test. However, the exit popup from the ebook alone converts at almost exactly what the same rate. The old copy, 1.5% buy the book. The new copy, 1.4% but the ebook.

The real difference lies in the use of the squeeze page. With the old copy, where there's a box to get the free info, 4.8% decided to become a member of the list and get the information.

With the new squeeze page, where the only thing for them to do was sign up or get the product, they opted in 20.1% of the time.

So, my conclusion is that I have a LOT of work to do based on Brian's recommendations. I have to write 3 new sales letters! Gotta get to work~

I'm in LA now, at Mega Book Marketing. A funny thing happened on the plane ride there. I've been reading the book The Attractor Factor by Joe Vitale. In it are 5 steps to attracting what you want in your life. I'm sitting in the airport when I read the intro to the five steps. When I board the plane and get in my aisle seat near the front of the plane (my preferred seat) I have an empty seat in the middle and the window is taken. I'm flying Southwest, which means the seating is a free-for-all. I hear over the loudspeaker that it's going to be a full flight, and every seat will be taken.

I decide to try out this manifestation stuff to manifest an ideal seatmate. I look up at the people coming down the aisle and I see a lot of college aged white people. So I decide that the ideal seatmate is going to be a well built professional african american man that wasn't chatty.

So I do the five steps, the last of which is to forget about it, and I go back to reading my book. A few moments later I hear "is this seat taken?" It's an african american WOMAN (okay, here's where I went wrong, in thinking about what I didn't want next to me a baby didn't even cross my mind).

My new seatmate seems to be the only woman of color on the plane, so I figure not bad for an amature manifester-- at least I got the race right.

A few minutes later I hear her say "there he is". I look up and -- you guessed it-- a well built professional looking black man is walking down the aisle. He stops at the row in front of us, and considers the seat in the middle. In that row, the person in the aisle and window were together, so there was a moment of confusion while they negotiated who was taking the middle seat.

I'm staring at these activities in amazement, pondering how close I got to the manifestation, and considering whether I wanted to offer my seat so the couple could sit together. Before I could, the woman in the window seat of my row makes the offer. We all get out of the row, then in goes the woman with the baby, the well built black man, then me. I truly manifested my seatmate.

Even better, the family smiled at me, and promptly went to sleep for the entire duration of the flight. All three of them. The baby was totally happy and didn't cry a bit. I feel like I can do anything!

When I arrived at the hotel, I spent some time looking at the schedule and creating a game plan for the event.

I've decided I have three goals. First, I want to talk to Joycebelle Edlebrock about how I get a book signing at the BEA. Second, I want to find a distributor for my books to get into nationwide bookstores. Third, I want to approach Ali Brown about being a joint venture affiliate.

Finally, I want to have a good time with my roommate, Alex. Have I talked about her during this journal? Alexandra Watson is an amazing woman from England, now living in Germany. She's a life coach and has written a book called The Happiness System for Women. She's a protege, and we met at last year's BEA. When we met, we were pretty much instantly friends.

I had a late lunch with the Wozneys, drinks with Alex, dinner with Alex, Gary Turner and Rich Van Iderstine, and went to bed early and happy.

This first day of Mega Book was pretty much a bust. While I had a great time seeing everyone from the IC and other Mega Events, I didn't get anywhere towards my goals.

So I've now stopped beating myself up about it, as I was about to in the last paragraph, and decided that I took the first day to get my bearings, be comfortable in the environment and be social with the people. Tomorrow I get down to work!

I did ask Ali Brown about being a JV partner after she asked about Paulie and mentioned that she uses his testimonial over and over. She said she really needs to be careful about what she promotes to her list, since most of them signed up for marketing, she needs to pretty much promote marketing messages. I can respect that, and arranged to run an ad in her ezine.

Today Mark and Bob called me on stage to talk about the Cracking the Code success. Bob says to the crowd, "I wanted Donna to come up here because I wanted you all to see what a star looks like." A little over the top, but I loved it.

The most exciting thing that happened today was that Alex and I decided that was are going to collaborate on a few books. She's a starter and I'm a finisher, so we'll work well together. For her, getting the first draft out is a breeze, which is the hard part for me. I'm a much better polisher and editor. We could be prolific together.

The other exciting thing that happened today was that Imal agreed to take me on as a client. This is wonderful! I've asked her in the past and she was too busy to take on new clients. We are to start May 1st.

Alex, Larry, Jose and I had a great sushi dinner and walk on the beach. It was the perfect platonic double date. Just four beautiful people loving life :) Larry is one of the most considerate people I have come in contact with. The perfect gentleman, really. When asked he was ready to take over the ordering process, and lots of delicious yummies appeared at the table. Alex and I agree, as strong business women always making decisions, it's nice to be taken care of once and a while.

An interesting thing happened today. I was sititng getting ready to listen to Tom Antion, the first speaker, when I realized I didn't have my Mega Action cards. Alex suggested that I just borrow a few from someone, but in a very childish fashion I state: I have to get mine. So I leave and head to my room.

On the way to the elevator I ran into Imal, who is talking with a man. She introduces me to him, Eric Kampmann from Midpoint, a book distributor. She then pulls me aside and tells me I need to speak with him about carrying my books, because before she works with me I need to get them into bookstores.

So I run up to my room, get the ONE copy of the book I brought with me, and bring it down to Eric. He's impressed that we've sold 3,000 copies already, which is great for a self-published book, and wants to chat with me. We go sit down, have a wonderful conversation, and by the end of our talk we have a distribution agreement. Further, he states that I'll do a booksigning in their booth at BEA! So I got two of the things I was looking for this weekend.

I had a great time with Letitia today. She said her audience voted my book the most useful and needed item in her mother's day giveaway show. Very nice :) She's also a huge fan of the idea that Alex and I had for a reality show, and wants to produce it.

We go shopping and while walking down the street she says, "Is that George McKenzie?" It wasn't, but she spoke him up...see tomorrow's entry.

Dinner with Coop was great. He's still on a high from all the work with the Tony Robbins organization that he is doing. It's really rewarding for him... and it's energizing to talk to someone who is so excited about what he's learning and how he's helping people.

When we get back from dinner we're going to have a Dreamweaver lesson. I realize that I've left my room key in my room, so we go to the front desk. While waiting, I hear my name being called from across the lobby.

I turn and this man runs towards me, clearly happy to see me, business card in hand. He's a reader from New Zealand who got my book as a bonus for the Joe Vitale launch. He said it's wonderful, and has had amazing results from just a few of the principles. He agrees to be a foreign testimonial for me (I need more of these). He then goes on to say that he's a TV producer in NZ, and any time I want to come down to be on TV or do a seminar, let him know.

His friend then comes over and wants to take my picture with him. As he snaps the camera he says, "you just don't know how many people you've helped." What a wonderful experience! I really enjoy my minor celebrity status. I can't wait to have my first paparazzi!

Just the thought of it makes me giggle.

I moved to the second hotel in LA today to get ready for the wealth retreat. On my way there I get a call from..George McKenzie. George was a radio host for many years, and recently started a new show in San Antonio. They had a guest cancel at the last minute and asked me to fill in.

An hour later I was in a hotel room spending 20 minutes with his audience. It was LOTs of fun!

Then I was off to Disney to spend time with my adopted family, the Wozneys. We had a lot of fun in the park. Rick hurt his foot in a skiing accident, so he was in one of those Rascal-type scooters, so we soared ahead in the lines.

We were walking between rides when I get a phone call. It's George McKenzie. He said I was really great on the radio, and he wanted to offer me a regular spot to speak every 2 weeks for 15 minutes or so. I'm thrilled! I've gotten my very first radio program!

Interesting how Letitia thought she saw him yesterday. I wonder if it's the Attractor Factor at play?

Tonight the wealth retreat started with Mark & Bob and I got my five minutes of fame as they were talking about Cracking the Code. I love it when this happens, because for the rest of the weekend I know people will come up to me and tell me they read my book :)

I saw Letitia again today. She's been thinking about my question to her, how do I blow out the sales of my book and get more PR in a short period of time. She came up with the idea of syndicated cable TV spots.

Here is how it works. Many cable TV shows really struggle for quality content. They don't have good sources of information. We would do 13 five minute video spots and market them for free to each of the 25 largest markets. She'll handle the production and find the show in each market that's the best fit. On each one I can promote my website.

We can even find a corporate sponsor who will pay for the production costs. It's a fantastic idea. I'm letting it simmer on the back burner until June when I'll have more time to prepare the spots.

Today I mostly played hookie from the speakers I've heard so many times before, and went to help Coop with his website. It was fun, and looks really good, even if I do say so myself. I can't wait to try the product. I might become one of his "Lift off for a lifetime" customers.

The awards ceremony was tonight. I hadn't put any of my data into the Millionaire Hall of Fame before we were required to for this challenge...it's not our style. That being said...

It was kinda fun going across stage to get our awards. I accepted a courage in action award for our network marketing, a gift pin and a gain trophy.

Tonight I'm in Greenville, SC doing some legal work. I arrived today, in time to do my conference call this evening with Leo Quinn. Leo is a get-out-of-debt guy, so I was a bit nervous about setting up this call because of a message-to-market match.

Leo was thrilled. He got more subscriptions for this call than any other that he has done, by a factor of 10. We had orders placed for the book before the call even ended, and a few rolled in periodically for the rest of the night. It was a great call, and a fun way to generate...let's see...12 books...about $25 profit each...$300

The best part is he's making the audio recording a bonus when people buy his product, so the audio will keep on generating income. Truly passive income. Gotta love it!

Ok, I spent the day in a VERY dirty warehouse filled with carbon fiber dusty. Pretty messy stuff.

And I'm sick...again. I'm popping some Nyqil capsuls and going to sleep.

Day #2 in the warehouse. Thankfully, we found the documents we were looking for today, so I changed my flight and am headed home tonight.

2 Nyquil before getting on the plane, 2 after getting home...I'm going to chase this cold away.

I called the wonderful Dr. X today and got antibiotics. Why must I always get sick when I travel? Thankfully, the passive income streams are still plugging away, with 7 books yesterday and 5 today.

I'm feeling a tiny bit better today. Not much. I prepared the opt in page for Joe Kahler's launch for his book Out On My Own...Now What? You can see the specialized page.

I spent the day with Joey today, trying to get that balance. We watched two movies, which was a pretty nice day since I'm also still recovering.

Lots of sales today from Tom, our star affiliate at present time. I talked to him last week and he asked about buying the reprint right for the ebook for the rest of the year, to give to the people who buy his program. I'm not sure it's such a good idea. Since at present we both have an unlimited potential source of income from it. His buying the retail rights would result in a limit in income to us and an expense for him.

Then again, if we get the leads it might be worth it. Especially if we stop selling the book online as it starts to appear in stores. This will require a bit of thought.

Another business opportunity has presented itself to us. We've been asked if we'd like to buy an internet business for no money down. It's a sweet deal, provided we can get the relationship aspects of the deal ironed out.

Buying this business would add around $350k to our net worth and about $90k a year in income. It's a good deal..especially since it's no money down...and a nice amount of equity to pocket during the 101 days. It's an exciting time for the "dynamic duo of real estate investing".

More sales today, mostly from Tom...go Tom!

I had lunch with Paulie today, seeing him for the first time in over a month! We talked about buying that business, and brainstormed some solutions for the relationship aspects of the deal. I feel very confident about it.

Paulie also had an amazing coup today. Here's the backstory.

We never return information products when we buy them, even if they are really bad. We think it's bad karma. However, we did return one of the products we bought at Jason Cox's joint venture seminar.

We bought the product because it allowed us to bootstrap ourselves into a product with interview from some of the top internet marketers, with a disk with OUR interview on it, for which we got full resale rights.

We returned it because the seller decided to change the product he was offering to something less appealing for our purposes. Now it was a new live teleseminar with less famous names. It didn't have the bootstrapping effect at all.

So Paulie gets a call today from Jason, who said the seller needs someone to fill in on one of the calls, and could he do it. The call topic, PR and public relations, Paulie's business for years before we started our companies. It was a slam dunk for him. He did a fantastic job, and became the expert on one of the disks in the new audio product...the exact one that we decided to return because it wasn't quite right.

Because he filled in at the eleventh hour, Paulie was granted a copy of the product and full resale rights. Very nice indeed.

The moral of this story? Be in the business, let everyone know what you do, and be able to talk about it well (remember my big radio break came from being able to fill in at the last minute and doing a great job).

Two more interesting things. First, on Paulie's call someone in the Q&A portion asked him "Do you work with Donna Fox?" How cool is that, since he wasn't talking with anyone from our lists.

Second, Nobuji mentioned in the IC chat room that he saw my picture featured on the front page of a REIA website with information about me. I have no idea what website this is or what it's for, but I'm thrilled about it. My name and info is getting out there, and I'm establishing myself as an expert...all because I said I was.

Paulie says to me today, "How do we make $13,000 a day for the next 32 days?" This is what we need to earn the remaining $461,000 we need to reach the goal of $1million in 101 days.

So I brainstorm. I write:
1) barter for it
2) buy another business for no money down
3) sell 1600 credit millionaire home study courses.

I got totally stuck after writing that last one. It seems like such a huge goal! And knowing what I know about online internet marketing of information products, an impossible goal in 30 days.

So it's off to exercise our barter power!

On another note, www.credit-millionaire.com recently moved from a 1 page rank on Google to a 2.

There are some other sources of income that I haven't been tracking on a daily basis...for instance. Amazon sales of the book. In February we sold 4, March 56, and April 24 for almost $1,000 in income (I'll have to remember to add this to the hall of fame).

Another source is our goodle adsense, the pennies that we make each time someone clicks on a link at the very bottom and very top of this page. I haven't been good about putting adsense code everywhere...it really should be on my blogs and things...but I can't beat myself up for failing to implement EVERY wealth building strategy...gotta have focus...

Anyway, in AdSense, we've earned a whopping $23! Not to make light of that income, because I know I could greatly increase it quickly just by focusing on implementing that one strategy.

Hmmm...maybe I can make "diversified focus" a new buzzword.

Sales today? Well, I'll let that be a surprise. ;) Watch the Millionaire Hall of Fame and I'll "see" you on the conference call Monday night!

I did my first regular radio spot today. 15 minutes, and it went very well. I talked about strategies for debt reduction.

I wonder how many different revenue streams Paulie and I have developed over the last 70 days? I'll have to count them up.
